Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years (“HAPPY”) Act

USA: Help Make Pet Care More Affordable--Support the HAPPY Act!

I receive an e-mail from my wonderful friend Jamie, on an important issue that I just took action on, and I wanted to pass it on to the readers of All About Labradors to try and get you guys to take action and to help spread the word.

We need your help in supporting and cosponsoring the Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years (“HAPPY”) Act, which would allow individuals to claim tax deductions for qualified pet care expenses.

"The bill would allow any taxpayer who legally owns one or more domesticated animals to take an annual income tax deduction of up to $3,500 for pet care expenses, including veterinary care costs."

"The HAPPY Act is important because it will help Americans provide their pets with the medical attention and quality of life they deserve, while also ensuring that more pets get to remain in their loving homes and don’t wind up on the streets or in the already overburdened shelter system."

On the ASPCA website (link below), there is a letter that you can email to your U.S. representative and urge him or her to support and cosponsor the HAPPY Act, H.R. 3501!

To help do your part visit: Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years (“HAPPY”) Act.

Please help spread the word by telling all your friends. Thanks!

A big thank you to Jamie for all the important as well as funny e-mails you send. It's greatly appreciated.
