Summer Dangers

With the hot summer weather comes many questions sent in regarding dangers and safety for our lovable Labrador Retrievers...

What are signs of heat stroke in my Labrador Retriever?
Is it to hot for my Labrador Retriever to be outside?
How to I perform first aid on my Labrador?

These are just a few of the questions we receive as the summer heat becomes a dangerous time for our Labradors.

Besides my help, the Red Cross has announced a new campaign called The Dog Days of Summer, helping to teach about heat safety, pet first aid and CPR.

Many Red Cross chapters across the country offer classes and courses with hands-on training in pet first aid and pet safety awareness.

I have recently taken a pet first aid course and highly recommend it for new Labrador Retriever owners as well as seasoned owners as they provide a great refresher.
